| That a lot of rocks! |
Between our basement and where the garage will be I noticed this little hole, and wasn't sure if this is normal? There were a couple others between the garage and front of the house, and the front of the house and porch. Anyone know anything about this?

Update on the siding issue: that was interesting today. Lots of back and forth...we can have that siding, we can't have that siding - its only for shake shingle, we can have that siding. A lot of confusion. In the end - our choice of Granite color was fine and we are moving forward with that. Thank goodness!
We had those holes too. I didn't ask what they were for but after all of your rough-ins (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc), the waterproofing company will come back out, install wood blocking and cover with tar and a moisture barrier. All I can think is that they were some sort of expansion holes for the differences between the foundation and porches pony walls. What I do know is that they are filled and sealed at some point. Lessons learned: they ran the extension cord for our sump pump through one of them and for some reason the waterproofing crew didn't even bother unplugging it to fill the gap. They literally sealed an extension cord in our wall. We had it sticking out both sides. The PM had to cut the extension cord and wasted it.

ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I know nothing about those holes but I would assume they're normal and will be sealed up eventually. They were pouring our basement walls on our Ravenna on Friday and we got a few pics :)
